39 weeks

Please excuse, what may seem like, my excessive whining in the following post. I try my hardest to maintain a positive attitude, especially with regards to this pregnancy, but I feel it's important to get some true feelings out there. For anyone going through something similar, please know that you are not alone and that your feelings are perfectly normal.

This weeks' weight gain/loss: +3lbs

Total weight gain/loss: +10lbs

Size of Baby: We're officially a watermelon!!! The last fruit!!!

Biggest challenges: Getting comfortable and staying calm.

Cravings: I've officially lost interest in food again and the short gag reflex is back :o(

Gender: it's a BOY!!! Owen Richard W*****

Movement: Lots of big and dramatic movements - he's definitely getting low on space!

Sleep: We're still on the futon, but we're getting used to it. Now that I'm out of work, I get to sleep in and that's really helping with getting quality rest.

What I Miss: Still my feet and ankles, but now I'm adding my hands to that list as well :o( My worsening carpal tunnel is killing me :o( I wake up each morning and can barely bend my fingers - they used to get somewhat better throughout the day, but now they just hurt all day long. I can't do anything anymore - put on my bra, write, type, grab things, etc.

Emotions: Discouraged, frustrated, and upset *sigh* I wish so much that those weren't my feelings right now - I wanted so badly and waited so long for this pregnancy. But as we reach the end here, I am finding myself tired and uncomfortable :o( My newly developed and ever worsening carpal tunnel is killing me! I wake up in so much pain every morning and can pretty much do nothing with my hands at this point. And that's on top of my other regular symptoms - high BP, swelling, headaches, lower back pain, etc. Adding salt to the wound, we're not making any progress either :o( No contractions, no dilation, no dropping, nothing :o( I know that means nothing and things can change in an instant, but it's hard not to let that get to you.

Best moment this week: Trying to enjoy the last moments of being pregnant...

Any baby related purchases: Got a new cool wall clock for Owen's nursery (will post pics soon) and we LoVe it!!!

Milestones: One more week until EDD!!!
